ROAD CLOSURE 1st-3rd JUNE
Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (NTRO11156) affecting the C426 Knapton Road from 150 metres east of its junction with the U11061 Pyghtle Close for 30 metres eastwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Trunch to facilitate replacement of a chamber, cover and frame works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 1st to 3rd June 2026, but may continue to be closed until the 15th July 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
Alternative route is via: C426 Knapton Road, B1145, Mundesley Road / North Walsham Road / The Street, C295 Trunch Road / Gimingham Road, C426 Back Street (Trunch, Swafield with Bradfield, Knapton).
The works promoter for this closure is: Anglian Water.
Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.
If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.
A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

New Petanque Court
The new Pétanque Court is now being used regularly, and the new picnic table installed next to the court, kindly sponsored by the Trunch Compost Society, means spectators can cheer on the players in comfort. Thanks to them for this kind gift to the village. If at some stage anyone wants to form a league or the like, please get in touch and we will try to help!

Road Closure – Gimingham Road
Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (NTRO10845) affecting the C295 Gimingham Road from its junction with Front Street to its junction with Back Street (the “Road”) in the Parish of Trunch to facilitate carriageway repair works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 9th to 10th March 2026, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 21st April 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
Alternative route is via: C295 Gimingham Road, C424 Brewery Road, C424 Wrights Loke, Chapel Road.
The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Norfolk County Council.
Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.
The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 21st April 2026 without further notice.
If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.
In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

The Warm Room Recommences
The Warm Room at Trunch recommences on Monday 2nd December at Blacksmiths Close community centre. The room will be open from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, come along for some company and refreshments. We hope to see you there. The Warm Room is available on Mondays 12.30pm to 3.30pm through the winter months.
